The Story Behind Sparrow Sonography: A Legacy of Equipping Pregnancy Medical Clinics
For more than 20 years, the heart of our work has been simple: equip Pregnancy Medical Clinics with the training, resources, and support they need to serve their communities well.
That mission began in 2002 when Dan and Connie Ambrecht launched Sonography Now, recognizing a critical need within the PMC community. As clinics completed limited obstetrical ultrasound courses, it became clear that they needed more than classroom instruction. They needed hands-on training, practical guidance, and ongoing support to confidently provide quality ultrasound services.
Through years of working alongside clinics nationwide, Dan and Connie saw that PMCs needed more than clinical education. Leaders needed support navigating the challenges of building strong medical programs, developing teams, and creating sustainable organizations. That vision expanded into Sparrow Solutions Group, where the mission grew to include leadership development, organizational support, and resources to strengthen clinics from every angle.
As the ultrasound program continued to grow, another opportunity became clear. The demand for quality ultrasound training remained strong, and there was a need to create a more focused experience for clinics seeking to develop or strengthen their ultrasound programs.
Together, Connie and Kim shared a vision to streamline and strengthen the ultrasound training experience by bringing the proven expertise of Sonography Now under the Sparrow umbrella. That vision became Sparrow Sonography.
Sparrow Sonography builds on decades of experience serving PMCs by providing hands-on ultrasound training, image review, clinical support, and practical resources designed specifically for the unique needs of Pregnancy Medical Clinics.
While the name has evolved, the commitment remains the same: walking alongside clinics, equipping teams, and helping PMCs provide excellent care to the women and families they serve.
We are honored to continue this legacy and excited for what lies ahead as Sparrow Sonography serves the next generation of Pregnancy Medical Clinics.

Michelle Holman, RDMS
Trainer
I am a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. Throughout my career, ultrasound has been a fulfilling way to care for patients while connecting with people from all walks of life. I have also had the privilege of teaching ultrasound students as a clinical preceptor in Nashville and Atlanta.
My experience includes working in the hospital setting and later in specialized OB/GYN clinics. For the past six years, I have served in the pregnancy resource clinic setting, where my work has become especially meaningful. It is an honor to use ultrasound to reveal God’s miracle of life—helping introduce children to their families while offering hope, support, and encouragement to women navigating challenging moments.
My life experiences have shaped my faith and perspective, leading me to trust that God brings beauty from brokenness
and creates paths of redemption, even in the most difficult circumstances. Being part of these sacred, life-giving moments continues to inspire me and reinforces the purpose behind the work I do each day.
Though I grew up in the city, I now live in rural Tennessee with my husband and our four wonderful children—two girls and two boys. I thrive on new adventures, spending time in nature, and building deep, meaningful connections with family and friends.
Psalm 16:11 is my guiding verse: “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
